Futility

Today something was screwed up on machine the pours into the molds. For those of you who aren't, "in the know" I work in a factory pulling out Polyurethane decorative stuff that people put on their houses. However, today probably slightly less than half of the parts that I pulled out where useable because the machine something in the mixing process was off. All the parts were turning out really soft. The sides of these parts were so soft that you could chip the edges away with your finger.

I know what you are thinking. Steve you get paid the same regardless of whether the parts are good or not and even though you didn't accomplish much you probably did the same amount of work even though you had nothing to show for it. At the end of the day pulling a crappy piece of crappy decorative crap is just as worth less as pulling a functioning one. Still I would rather accompish something than waste my time.

And here is the kicker tomorrow they will have to fix the machine so I will be sanding instead of doing my normal job. This will suck more.

Such is life.

Explicit Aurora

eXtremeWalnut Hill Mennonite Church

Tomorrow I plan on returning to XWHMC after about a month and a half of extreme absences. I welcome the awkward glances and conversation from congregation members about how they “haven’t seen me in a while.” Today, I will intend to go for a bike ride, clean my desk, and watch the Da Vinci Code. If I accomplish any 2 of those 3 tasks I will consider it a good day.

Andy got a job

As the title says Andy Lee unofficially has a job as a History teacher at Elkhart Central. Congratulate him. Or else.

Done and Done

I am able to proudly announce that I am the father of a brand new baby boy. This is false information and should not be used to start rumors. If truthful material is needed to start rumors please email me at gingerich.mark@gmail.com. I must also take this time to thank David N. Helmuth for 'inviting' me to start a gmail account, without which I would not be able to correspond with others in such a provocative manner.

Monday our smallish farming operation in South Eastern Iowa finished spraying harmful chemicals all over God's good Earth. This could only commence with the completion of planting which happened a few days earlier. Tuesday, today, rains poured down on Union township and I assume some of the ajcent ones. I slept in, Father slept in, Mother went off to work in the student factory again. She has but two weeks left of this season. The pieces they are turning out there these days are pretty well crafted.

Iowa Mennonite School is building a fine arts building costing a coupl'a million dollars and are accepting donations. They have an been blessed with a matching granter who has agreed to match each dollar given with 1.25 dollars. So when you or I give $1 the school gets $2.25. A very cheritable fellow this one is. No obligation to donate here, I just wanted to let you all know. If I remember right, most of the Aurora House bunch has a definate interest in seeing the "Arts" propigated and embossed as shown on our college transcripts and/or resumes through our delightful participation in the elite Goshen College Men's Choir of 2004. Speaking of...Where the heck is our CD from 2005?

Totally consumed with House Apprasials,
